As part of an on-going totalitarzation of Russia and fight against dissents, Russian ministry of communications is building its own network of secret police informers. It intends to establish a “hotline” for a network of volunteer informers who will denounce to authorities politincorrect thoughts of Russian citizens on the Internet.

Deputy head of the Russian ministry of communications Duhovnitsky reported on his ministry’s plans at a meeting of Russian punishing agencies (KGB, police, prosecutors etc) in Moscow.

Duhovnitsky proposed to reduce the time, allocated for removal of dissident posts and articles on Russian Internet.

“An important role is played by the factor of time. The longer the information stays online, the more people may read and copy it”- noticed the vigilant fighter with ideological deviations.

According to Duhovnitsky, the current 24 hours for removal of dissident article on Russian Internet is too long. During this time, an anti-government text could influence many minds of previously loyal Russians.

In addition, he believes that all Russian citizen, convicted for dissident thoughts and ideas, should be banned from occupying positions that enable them to publish and edit websites, newspapers and other media outlets.

He also proposed the change the legal definition of dissident articles (officially called “extremist materials” by the ruling KGB), because, according to current legislation, Internet materials have no physical carrier, and therefore can not be formally proclaimed as ideologically deviant as the current KGB law requires a physical form for them, e.g. they should be on paper.
