Dear friends!
May 21 is a very important day for those Circassians living in Turkey and scattered around the world. 149 years ago, during and after the Russian conquest of the Caucasus, these people survived the massacre, which resulted in expelling them from their homeland to various provinces of the Ottoman Empire, Lebanon and Syria.
Traditionally, Turkey has not welcomed topics related to genocide and massacres. In the morning, the Circassian Association conducted a protest action in front of the Russian embassy . We are going to propose to Parliament to recognize the Circassian genocide and contribute to publicize this issue in the international political arena.
