The migration of the Circassians and Chechens to Jordan in the late years of the nineteenth century and first years of the twentieth century was not the only migration. In 1948, in the midst of Jordanian government’s preoccupation with the reception of Palestinian refugees after the Palestinian Catastrophe, which resulted in the displacement of more than one million refugees from Palestine and their refuge to the Arabic countries, a Circassian youth arrived to Amman, whose name is Abdul Karim Shwabzouqa coming from Rome, and met with the Minister of Interior at the time, Mr. Abbas Mirza “a Circassian” and asked him to mediate for his appearance before the Founder King, the Martyr, Abdullah I Bin Al Hussein,

The late King received the young Circassian who informed His Majesty of the presence of a number of Circassians who are refugees in Rome in the wake of the defeat of Hitler’s Germany, where they are exposed to hand them over to Soviet Russia, under the “Yalta” Agreement based on the ground that they are Soviet subjects, who joined Germany’s forces during its occupation of the Caucasus territories in World War II,

Those people had taken refuge in the Vatican seeking protection, which they were welcomed, and were refused to be covered by the exchange of prisoners between the Allies and Soviet Russia, and Mr. Shwabzouqa sought from the late King the acceptance of these Muslims Circassians as Jordanian subjects like their brethren living in Jordan, where His Majesty has  responded, and immediately ordered to take measures to transport them from Rome to Jordan,

Also, the orders were given to issue traveling tickets for them, but Circassians in Amman quickly collected the necessary amount of money to save the government from the transport expenses, and Jordan received the first batch of these Circassian immigrants from the Bjedogh, consisted of 38 between a men a women and a children,

After the elapse of another period, Mr. Jangeri Habjouqa arrived to Amman from Rome, and sought from the late King, to accept the second group, which consisted of 86 people of the Kabarday immigrants, where the King has responded to his request, and orders were given to receive them.
