Forgotten genocide

′′ Genocide of Cherkez ′′ according to Walter Richmond.
The author reveals one of the most horrific cases of history in this book, the genocide of the people.
Cherkezia was a small independent state on the northeast coast of the Black Sea. Due to ethnic hatred, Russians organized hundreds of campaigns before they were expelled from their historic homeland and deported to the Ottoman Empire. At least 600,000 people lost their lives due to massacre, hunger and diseases, and hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their homeland. In 1864, three-fourths of the population of Cherkez were destroyed and they became one of the first nations in modern history.
Using rare archive materials, the author tells the history of the war, details the recent genocide campaign, and follows five generations of diaspora Cherkez struggling to survive and return home. Walter describes the genocide’s black periods between 1821-1822 and 1863-1864 These the author with work updates history to get international recognition of the genocide.
