The commemoration of the Circassian Flag Day is a symbol of unity among all the major tribes because it symbolizes the national significance that was approved and achieved during the Russo-Circassian War, specifically when the flag was taken as a banner for the tormented Circassian nation. Not to mention that it remained later until now in the Circassian year 6231, a symbol that unites its members who are scattered in the Circassian societies and communities spread between the motherland and the wide diaspora, at a time when they reached an unenviable situation of discord, division, loss of legitimate rights and helplessness. While the Republic of Adygea has adopted the Circassian flag as its national flag of the Republic on March 23, 1992.

In 1836, a general Circassian assembly was held in the valley of Psefabe, where the flag was approved in form and content unanimously by the representatives of the Circassian tribes and all those who were present, and decided that this flag (Baraq) is the unifying symbol of all Circassians. The Circassian flag contained twelve golden stars and three golden crossed arrows. Each of the twelve stars represents a major Circassian tribe and they are all represented equally and without prejudice or discrimination. They are all equal in unity. As for the crossed arrows, they symbolize that the Circassians do not seek war, but will defend themselves and their existence when they are exposed to aggression. The color of the flag reflects the color of spring of the homeland, the meadows and forests.

On March 23, 1992, the Republic of Adygea adopted the Circassian flag as the national flag of the republic. In subsequent years, based on the demands of Circassians everywhere, both in their homeland and in the diaspora, further progress was achieved. Since 2010, when the International Circassian Association inaugurated the commemoration of the Circassian Flag Day for the first time, Circassians have been commemorating it on the twenty-fifth of April every year on the grounds that it is the Circassian Flag Day, where the Circassians who live in more than 50 countries of the world would participate in that, including the motherland

While on the 25th of April 2010, during the commemoration of the 180th anniversary of the birth of the Circassian flag in Maykop, the capital of the Republic of Adygea, all Circassians of the world were invited to adopt the historical Circassian flag.

In all cases, it is not logical for the commemoration of this memory to be repeated at this time every year, so that it is just a transient talk devoid of feelings and meanings, where lessons are not learned by those who work in any of the areas available to activists.
