Paul Goble’s 50 Windows on Eurasia / Oct 18, 2025
My blog has entered a period that sometimes seems to be a kind of perfect storm, one that has significantly reduced the number of stories I am now able to write up. My health has declined; the Russian media has become less interesting as so many people who did write have stopped and those who do follow fewer topics; and the increasing bandwidth on the Internet means that ever more people use videos rather than written articles to get their ideas out, a shift that means it takes far longer to track their ideas. As a result, I am now writing about half as many articles a day as I did. That means that instead of sending these batches out about once a week, I am now doing so roughly every two weeks. That means that some of the stories I’m sending are in many cases about topics older than was the case in the past. If you would like to see the stories as they are produced, please subscribe to my blog, www.windowoneurasia2.blogspot.com, or, alternatively, if you would prefer not to continue to receive these collections of 50 stories, please let me know.
