يقول قبارد إن الشركس في الوطن وفي الخارج تحولوا عبر الإنترنت

ستاونتون، 14 سبتمبر/أيلول — تعمل شبكة الإنترنت على تحويل الشركس في كل من موطنهم في شمال القوقاز حيث تساعد المزيد من أعضائها على الإصرار على هويتهم كشركس في الإحصاء السكاني القادم وفي الشتات حيث تجمع العديد من الذين لم يكن لديهم اتصال يذكر فيما يبنهم من قبل.
يقول الناشط الشركسي أندزور قبارد (Andzor Kabard) إن هذين التطورين مرحب بهما؛ لكنهما يثيران تحديات لم تضطر أي مجموعة قومية أخرى للتعامل معها. وكأن الشركس مجبرون حاليًا على ”التصرف في الأرض غير المستكشفة نظرًا لأنهم ببساطة ليس لديهم أي نموذج لمثال يُحْتذى“ (natpressru.info/index.php?newsid=12138). Circassians in the Homeland and Abroad Being Transformed by the Internet, Kabard Says

Staunton, September 14 – The Internet is transforming Circassians both in the North Caucasus homeland where it is helping ever more of its members to insist on their identity as Circassians in the upcoming census and in the diaspora where it is bringing together many who had little contact before.
Both of these developments are welcome, Circassian activist Andzor Kabard says; but they raise challenges which no other national group has ever had to deal. Staunton, September 6 – The Circassians are “the most fearless people of the Caucasus,” Yandex’s Etnogeo portal says. In fact, their own self-designator, Adyg, means “warrior.” And the North Caucasus has “always” been their homeland since at least paleolithic times, centuries earlier than other nations.
This is interesting not because it is news to anyone who knows anything about the remarkable history of the Circassian people but rather because it is being proclaimed by a website directed at Russian internet users who have often been offered a very different picture (zen.yandex.ru/media/etnogeo/cherkesy–samyi-besstrashnyi-narod-kavkaza-est-fakty-5f5446bd019fb065e725d711). ستاونتون، 6 سبتمبر/أيلول — الشركس هم ”أكثر الناس شجاعة في القوقاز“، كما يقول موقع إتنوغيو (Etnogeo) التابع لمحرك البحث ياندكس (Yandex). في الواقع، فإن الإسم الذي يطلقونه على أنفسهم أديغ (Adyg)، يعني ”المحارب“. وكان شمال القوقاز ”دائمًا“ وطنهم منذ العصر الحجري القديم على الأقل، وقبل قرون من الأمم الأخرى.
