Prizes For The Winners Of The Circassian Genocide Memorial Awarded

The competition for designing a memorial of the victims of the Circassian genocide has come to an end in Tbilisi, Georgia today, the 2nd of December, 2011, and the final results have been processed and announced.

29 competitors had participated in the contest from Georgia, USA, Turkey, Jordan and the North Caucasus.

Three winners were selected as follow:

First prize 10,000 U. S. Dollars:

Khusen Kocheskov from Nalchik, KBR.

Second prize 3,000 U. S. Dollars:

Ali Maher from Jordan.

Third prize 1,000 U. S. Dollars:

Guram nikoladze from Georgia.

In appreciation for the hard work done by all contesters, and due to the efforts made to provide all expressive arts, designs and outcomes, the “International Circassian Council” has awarded 2000 U. S. Dollars to be distributed to four more participants that came in sequence after the first three winners, which turned out to be:

1.      Janty Basha from USA.
