            ستاونتون، 15 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول — نجحت الحكومة الروسية في استخدام الأجهزة الأمنية للسيطرة على العديد من الجماعات الشركسية في التسعينيات من القرن الماضي وعرقلة الجهود في ذلك الوقت التي تجعلهم جميعًا يعلنون أن الشركس هو الاسم العرقي المشترك لهم، كما يقول عسكر سوخت (Asker Sokht). لكن الآن احتدم هذا الصراع مرة أخرى.

Moscow Again Seeking to Block Soviet-Divided Circassian Nation from Declaring a Common Name in Upcoming Census

            Staunton, October 15 – The Russian government was successful in using the security organs to take control of many Circassian groups in the 1990s and block efforts at that time to have all of them declare Circassian as their common ethnonym, Asker Sokht says. But now this conflict has again heated up.

Staunton, October 12 – In recent decades, there have appeared a series of studies of the complex history and present situation of the Circassians, both those who remain in the homeland and those who live abroad because their ancestors were expelled from the Russian Empire 150 years ago.

The Circassians are attracting ever more attention as the Internet has allowed those in the homeland and those abroad to reinforce one another and as this increasing activism has challenged Moscow’s control of a region by undermining the center’s ethnic engineering and by calling attention to the abuses it has visited on the Circassians and others. A Closer Look At Circassia

Abstract

The passage of time has not and will not lead to the loss of the Circassian Question of its momentum and importance in various aspects. While the elements that have affected the composition and shaping of the scene since the early historical ages and the history of the formation of one of the indigenous human entities in their Caucasus cradle of Civilization still exist.

The development of the nation as part of the human fabric in such a strategic area with great importance has been marred by many negative influences and interruptions as a result of the difficult status and conditions imposed by colonial ambitions that wanted to finish off and sparse this nation outside its homeland.

The passage of more than a century and a half since the deportation of the vast majority of the nation and the distribution of the rest of them in several tiny, divided parts and administrative areas of their historical homeland, is still the status and fate of this nation that needs to be able to restore its legitimate rights.
