While the world silently witnesses the genocide of the Palestinians, it is essential that we remember such events in the recent past. History has always been brutal and human life has always been of little value as it is today.

21 May commemorates the day of the Circassian Genocide, something that the world is quite unaware of. Most of the people don’t even know what this place even is and honestly, I have never read this name before except in utopian novels. To be precise, Circassians are an ethnic group present in the northwest of the Caucasus region. Read more

In Nalchik, Circassians commemorate Caucasian War victims


On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the end of the Caucasian War, residents of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) have gathered at the Tree of Life monument to commemorate the victims thereof. They have stated that they try to come there every year to pay tribute to the memory of those who died for the independence of the Circassian people.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on May 20 and 21, 2023, KBR authorities banned any actions in memory of the victims of the Caucasian War, threatening with liability for violating the ban. Read more
