NatPress has published on its site on Internet that ICA (International Circassian Association) has held a meeting in Sochi on the 25th of June, 2011, was announced that it is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the last Parliament of Circassia. The attendants also visited the parliament building and Krasnaya Polyana.
It is astonishing though to see that ICA is taking this step at this time of the Circassian struggle for survival.
The reason for this assumption is that Russia and its agents are working their best to isolate Circassians who are against Sochi Olympic Games from other Circassians especially those who are living in the Russian occupied North Caucasus.
At the same time the Russians are working in parallel lines to domesticate Diaspora Circassians who are affiliates to ICA and its studs, nonetheless, some of those guys in Motherland who have attended such event may had attended with good intentions, but ICA would steer the boat towards the Russian waters.
It is appropriate to say that during recent events in Circassian Diaspora associations and organizations, there are considerable demands to retransfer the association away from the Russian influence, that was kidnapped to Nalchik to be its permanent headquarters by the Russian Intelligence agents who managed to hijack, then a pioneer and promising association that had prospered in the early 1990’s by the founders, the world-wide Circassians for asserting and restoring the Circassian confiscated rights.
The participants from areas, which include Russia’s current administrative divisions, Kabardino – Balkaria, Karachay – Cherkessia, Adygeya, Krasnodar Territory and Black sea Shapsugia with no candidates from Diaspora, declared that they have adopted a statement on the anniversary which will be given to the media for publication later on.
The present administrators are supported by Russian authorities, having common coordination and cooperation in all what suits the Russian suspicious policies, hoping that this published event as a Circassian Activist has put it, that “this is the last attempt to get ICA to support the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games”.

150 years elapsed on the last State Parliament (Majlis, Hase) of Circassia. Therefore, the International Circassian Association (ICA) held in 25 June in Sochi, where this parliament operated, has held a solemn meeting in an enlarged format. Participants visited the spot where the parliament building had stood, and a tree in Krasnaya Polyana, where it had taken the last decision.
As a member of the Board of ICA Edidzhi Mamet has told Natpress.ru, the participants adopted a statement on the historic anniversary – the 150th anniversary of the parliament. “It is now being finalized – he said – and, as planned, will be transferred to the media for publication in the coming days.”
As he said in a meeting attended by representatives of Circassian regions of the Russian Federation – Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygeya, Krasnodar Territory, and of course the Black Sea Shapsugia. Representatives of the Diaspora have not attended.
It is recalled that Parliament of Circassia was convened June 24, 1861. Its structure consisted of 12 representative offices of Circassian territories, including conquered by then Tsarist Russia. Its last decision was taken at the Krasnaya Polyana, which was the end of the Hundred Years War.
