In the year 1828, the Commander, Senior Lieutenant Emanuel couldn’t bear the Cossacks’ random attire, where he ordered all of them to wear the Circassian Costume.
The Circassian Costume was called Cherkessia in 27, November, 1861, after it was approved by the Defense Ministry.
