Aleksander Dugin exposed Vladimir Putin’s motive and conviction in the war crimes against Karabakh (Artsakh) during his recent interview with First Informational.

Dugin admitted that Russia will not side with Armenia and Azerbaijan will never be able to conquer Karabakh (Artsakh), no matter how much Russia arms Aliyev’s army.

This statement means that Putin intentionally destabilized the situation in Southern Caucasus by igniting the Karabakh Conflict in April, 2016, which resulted in thousands of dead and wounded, people mourning, mothers, wives, and children praying… Praying for peace!

Russia undermined the authority and the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group in reaching a peaceful solution to the Karabakh Conflict. Azerbaijan Republic fired the Russian made Grad, Smerch, and TOS 1, at Armenians. Medvedev, Lavrov, Markov, spoke about Russia’s interests in continuing the sales of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan Republic, and Rogozin called Armenians boogers and the cries of the Armenian mothers of fallen heroes as diarrhea. Bordyuzha visited Baku for consultations. Putin saved his face by offering to place “peacekeepers” around Karabakh in exchange for the Karabakh Defense Army to give up five to seven districts around the Nagorno Karabakh Autonomy Oblast (NKAO).

The only problem with Putin’s offer is that Armenians have seen what the Russian “peacekeepers” did during Operatsia Koltso in 1991 when Russia was the leading state of the Soviet Union, and how the 104th Division of Russian Federation conquered the Shahumyan Rayon from Karabakh and gave it to Azerbaijan Republic in 1992. The Russian “peacekeepers” were bartering with Turks of Azerbaijan – one captured Armenian in exchange for a bottle of vodka. Over a thousand unarmed civilians of Armenian descent became victims of Russian and Turkish (Azerbaijani) aggression through the use of “peacekeepers” and OMON.

Please note that Russia supplies 85% of weapons for Azerbaijan Republic, which accounts for $4 billion to $6 billion. These are weapons that Azerbaijan can only purchase from Russia. Thus, Russia’s statement that if Russia doesn’t sell those weapons to Azerbaijan, then another country will, is a lie.

The other countries Russia is referencing are Europe and the United States of America, who have consistently denied to sell weapons to Azerbaijan Republic. Even China and Korea denied to sell weapons to Azerbaijan Republic. However, Russia, a member of the Minsk Group, sells weapons to Azerbaijan Republic, and announces that they will continue to sell weapons, which is fine, if Russia is kicked out of the Minsk Group and Armenia comes out of the Eurasian Economic / Customs Union so Armenia can be free find alternatives to Russian weapons.

In addition to purchasing Russian weapons, Azerbaijan is also purchasing Israeli made Kamikaze Drones, Turkish made tanks and artillery units, which amount to the other 15% of Azerbaijan Republic’s arsenal. These are weapons that are not made and used by NATO.

Dugin’s solution to the Karabakh Conflict is for Azerbaijan Republic to join Putin’s Eurasian Economic / Customs Union, which is commonly called Eurazest. According to Dugin, then, it will be a matter of internal politics. In other words, Russia or the Eurazest will do what Russia or the Soviet Union did – they will give Karabakh to Azerbaijan.

Thus, the war crimes committed as a result of the Azerbaijan’s military aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) igniting a new war, which started in April 2016, were planned and executed in Moscow to destroy Karabakh in exchange for Azerbaijan joining the Eurazest.

Now that their aggression failed, Russia tried to shift the blame of restarting the Karabakh War on Turkey… That did not work because Armenians know who is behind the conflict and blame Russia for backstabbing the Armenians again.

The failed Russian Diplomacy has lost the loyalty of Armenia’s government, even if they don’t want to admit it, and despite their failure, Moscow wants to tie down Aliyev with empty promises of handing over Karabakh in return for Aliyev’s joining Eurazest.

One thing that Moscow is underestimating is that Karabakh is not Russia’s to give. Markov had stated that Moscow did not forgive the Armenians for Karabakh because the Soviet Union fell apart because of Karabakh, and now Moscow is risking the destruction of the Russian Federation by siding against it.

Is Azerbaijan worth the destruction of the Russian Empire? Think about it! Also, think about the fact that Russia needs Armenia and Armenians. The Karabakh Wars have consistently proved that Armenians don’t need Russia and Russia is not a guarantor of safety. Russia is not even a producer of safety. Russia is a producer of war.

I recently learned that during the Soviet rule, Kremlin kept an average of 6,000 agents in Armenia. I don’t know the exact number of Russia’s agents presently working in Armenia, but I have reason to believe that number to be the same if not more. Russia also has approximately 7,000 military personnel who are stationed in the 102nd Russian Military Base. If we add 6,000 + 7,000, the sum will be 13,000 or an entire Division. What does it mean? It means that Russia is De Facto keeping Armenia under Russia’s occupation. Azerbaijan’s De Facto ally and strategic partner, Russia, is a threat to Armenia and its military presence in Armenia is a threat to Armenia’s sovereignty and danger to Armenians. The Armenian soldiers proved that they don’t need Russians to defend the territorial integrity of Armenia and the $500 million per annum spent on the Russian Base, will be better to use on enhancing Armenia’s military. If we multiply $500 million by 20 plus years, the result will be $10 billion. What a waste of money!

On the positive note, European and American politicians have been expressing their opinions of the Karabakh Conflict and offering solutions for peace and stability in the region. Armenians welcome those efforts and hope that world will understand why Armenians reserve the right for retaliation against Azerbaijan’s violence, beheadings, and dismemberments against the Armenians. A thousand or so ISIS terrorist, who were citizens of Azerbaijan Republic, left Raqqa, Iraq, to fight against the Armenians in Karabakh. How did they go back to Azerbaijan? The same way they went to Iraq – through Turkey and Russia. They were all destroyed by the Karabakh Defense Army. Armenia became a new home for approximately 18,000 refugees from ISIS infested areas. The indigenous people; such as, the Lezgins, the Avars, the Talish, have told their sons not to fight against the Armenians. This is not a war between Christians and Muslims. This is a war between good and evil.

The members of the Geopolitical Club have a solution for peace and stability in the Black See and Caucasus region. We propose that Russia should be kept as far away from the region as possible. Azerbaijan Republic was a Russian and Turkish project and does not fit the region. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the indigenous people, who live in the Azerbaijan Republic, to dissolve the Aliyev Kingdom and to establish their independent states. Form a Confederation of Caucasus Republics, which will be similar to the European Union model, and to form a collective security force similar to NATO. Countries and organizations, who agree with our proposal, can reach out to Geopolitical Club for more information.
