Haci Bayram Polat, a Caucasian returnee, who was deported from his native homeland Kabardino-Balkaria on August 8, was returned to Turkey without any legal document, got his valuable library looted.

Local sources in Nalchik said to the Caucasus News Agency that the Russian intelligence agents known as (FSB) in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, have broken into Polat’s house, after being kidnapped and deported. They turned the house upside down and searched all his belongings. Polat’s relatives, who entered the house after the agents left, said that the library that was in the house, personal belongings and all the documents had been destroyed.

The library contained valuable archival documents, including approximately 1,000 documents on the establishment of the North Caucasus Republic, which was formed in 1918 and its Council’s meetings. As well as documents on the activities carried out by the International Circassian Association, edited by Boris Akbashev, a special archive of newspapers, human rights reports, and books authored by Kalmık Yura, which got only a small number available.
