Kayseri Association Leaving KAFFED: What’s Next

An unprecedented step was taken on January 7, 2024, by the Kayseri Kafkas Khase (association), which is called in Turkish language “Kayseri Kafkas Derneği.” The association has terminated its membership in the “Federation of Caucasian Associations in Türkiye (KAFFED).” Knowing that it is considered to be: “One of the largest non-governmental organizations of the Circassian diaspora in Turkey.” It suddenly “announced its withdrawal from the Federation of Caucasian Associations KAFFED.” [1]
As per a call for a meeting to vote on leaving KAFFED, an “Extraordinary General Assembly was held on January 07, 2024, which authorized “the Board of Directors to leave KAFFED.”
Leaving KAFFED “was accepted by a majority of votes:
YES : 300
NO : 37
Abstention : 0” [2]
The following was published on Facebook: “This is not only a physical departure from KAFFED, but the first serious blow to the motherland and the diaspora that has been intertwined for years, a radical paradigm shift in the motherland and diaspora policies, an effective social transformation, in short it also means a great {revolution}. As a result, the {Kaffed Movement for Change} has in one way or another CHANGED both KAFFED and the imposed status quo mentality!..”
It was described as a revolution, which was made “possible with the hope that it will bring blessings to the motherland and the diaspora.” [3]
Without doubt, the withdrawal from KAFFED membership is justified according to the course chosen by some previous KAFFED administrations. Apparently, they showed lack of interest in the fundamental affairs of the Circassian Question, especially regarding the failure to oppose holding the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games on the land of genocide.
Members of Kayseri Khaseh, due to the pivotal relationship between most of those who headed KAFFED during the past years and the International Circassian Association (ICA) administration. which is known for its close relationship with the Russian authorities, ignoring the duty to seek a solution for the legitimate Circassian rights, and implementing infernal plots against the Circassian nation.
It appears that one of the reasons for this withdrawal from KAFFED membership is the fact that this movement is a member of the International Circassian Association. The ICA’s goals changed when its location and decisions were seized by hypocritical individuals who established special relationships with the Federal Security Service, and they changed its statute after the year 2000.
Conclusion
There is no doubt that the minimum correctness is obliged to transform intention into action. Seemingly, the decision of the Kayseri Association has many positive Circassian dimensions, and this will encourage others to follow this very same approach, which will ultimately lead to the decision of the majority of the Circassian nation in its whereabouts around the world to demand the restoration of the usurped Circassian rights.
