The statement of the plenipotentiary of the president of Russian Federation in the SFD Dmitry Kozak he made for the delegation from Adygeya on May 4th, according to Nina Konovalova (chairman of the board “Union of Slavs of Adygeya”) she had not heard yet. We shall remind, in that statement concerned the status of the republic the plenipotentiary, in particular, told that he could once again with his full responsibility declare that that problem was not present. “Today we should, – he noted, – solve together all the problems exciting the citizens of the republic. First of all I mean solving of the social and economic questions of the region”.

“But as far as I know, – emphasized N.Konovalova in the conversation with Caucasus Times correspondent, – Kozak always spoke that he did not push and was not going to push such processes, but he also does not close anybody’s mouth. If people wish to be united, that is people’s business. And I support this position. But here we have quite the other thing – the opinion of people was never asked and, as far as I can understand, nobody is going to ask it”.

As to the position of the leader of “Union of Slavs of Adygeya” it remained constant – they should do anything to solve such questions in the subject. But it would happen only if all the people living in the subject were equal in their rights of the citizens. If that could be done by the authorities of the subject, they would deserve al possible praise for that. And the republican authorities must do that to prevent people’s displease.

The question of Caucasus Times correspondent, whether representatives of “Union of Slavs of Adygeya” participated in the meeting with the plenipotentiary, Konovalova answered positive. They were, she said, the representative of the council of elders of the organization – the Tokar, inhabitant of Kuzhorskaya village (25 km away from Maykop town) whom for that moment she had not met to discuss results of the negotiations with Kozak.

AdygeaNatPress: before the meeting with Kozak 20 public organizations of Adygeya had signed a reference in which they stated that they were not going to have any discussions about nominees of the future president of the republic with the plenipotentiary. To meet with Kozak on that day about 10 men had gone. Among them there was professor-linguist, member of the council of “Adyghe Khase” Zulkarin Bliagoz and the vice-president of the Maykop veteran organization Murat Shemgohov. That was regarded by the management of the SFD as a victory over the protest public of the republic.
