Adygeya applies for carrying out of the world rafting championship

The president of Adygeya Khazret Sovmen met on May 25th the main arbiter of the European rafting championship Peter Karjanov. IА REGNUM correspondent informed that referring to the press-service of the head of the republic.
Karjanov on behalf of all the participants of the championship thanked Sovmen for his active participation in the organization of the competition of such level in conditions of the rigid time deficiency. He handled the president the rafter’s oar on which the participants of the championship left their autographes and the words of gratitude. The International rafting federation also awarded the president of Adygeya with the gold medal of the European rafting championship.
Peter Karjanov informed that they submitted the application for carrying out in Adygeya the world rafting championship 2009. Khazret Sovmen supported the idea and promised to do his best to carry out such tournament in the high level in case of corresponding consent of the International rafting federation.
Note: the European rafting championship passed in Adygeya in the end of April this year. Despite of weather surprises, in particular, a snowfall at night before the competition, the level of its carrying out was estimated both by the International rafting federation, and the sportsmen as very high: for all time they had no state of emergency on water or on banks. There were no occasions for any other reproaches, too.
