A Jordanian Of Chechen Origin Invents Car Engine That Reduces Fuel Consumption By 60%

Amman – Rania Al-Hindy – Difficult working conditions pushed Businessman Mohammad Asender to get involved in the field of early work when he was sixteen years of age, where he joined the Jordanian Army to serve in the Armored School as tanks mechanic, and then switched to work in the field of freight transportation.

After receiving simple childhood education, Asender said “I started working, without completing university education, where conditions of life led me to exit early from school and then joined the Army to be tanks mechanic, and then moved to work in the field of freight on the roads and added: “then later on, I worked in Chechnya, in which during the years 1989-1994, I was appointed to be the representative for the Chechen President in the United Arab Emirates”.

Suffering that Asender observed throuout his work during long drive on the roads, “because of the inefficiency of vehicles’ engines, its continuous failure that used to be encountered, and the high cost of operation, made me think to invent new engine to eliminate those problems once and for all, and difficulties encountered during the ongoing travelling on the roads along with the high cost led me to think about inventing a new engine of less volume and stronger power output than the usual car engines”.

Journey of Invention, which Asender began in 2005 in Dubai, with the funding of the UAE “Al-Rifai Group” which was satisfied with the idea of the project and provided him with financial and technical support, Asender says, “when I thought of inventing this engine 3 years ago, I wished it to be smaller and stronger than the usual cars’ engine, that would get less fuel consumption, and after several experiments, the idea succeeded and presently the project is under implementation in its final form within the next few months.

The process of developing the “wonder engine” as some people have called it, was performed in the Zerqa “free zone”, explains Asender, “when we started applying the idea of the engine on the ground, we have decided to move to Jordan due to the availability of all technical and logistical facilities along the efficient competencies of high-level engineering”.

During the past three years 8 initial prototypes of the invention had been implemented that lead to reach the new engine in its current appearance, in which during the next two days, it will be demonstrated during the First “Free Zones Investment Forum”, which began its work yesterday at “Le Royal Hotel Amman” hotel.

According to Asender, the wonder engine is characterized as four power strokes and 800 CC capacity with roll-on/roll-off system, and air cooling which can use all kinds of fuel. It is expected that the new engine will reach 20 times of the traditional engine power output, and reduces fuel consumption rates by 60-70%, along with that, the number of pieces of the engine do not exceed 154 pieces compared to 3000 pieces in the usual engine.

Asender expects that the new engine commercial production would start before the end of this year at the latest, after completing all the necessary tests to prove the efficiency of the engine, pointing out that he would then produce a new “carrier of the movement transmission” (gear) that commensurate with the new engine.

The cost of investment in the project of producing the engine has reached 5 million U.S. dollars despite the initial studies for the project that confirmed to exceed 15 million dollars.

Asender pointed out that filing applications had been presented for the registration of patents in 45 foreign countries, explaining that the registration process will end within the next six months, asserting that his invention in Jordan had found the full support of all government agencies, and the project have been submitted to the King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development (KADDB).

In his part, the Executive Chairman of “Al-Rifai Group”, Heyder Wardeh praised the idea of the project of the “wonder engine”, pointing out that the group, which is the financer part had faith in the idea since the outset of the idea of the project, which he described as pioneering, and added that the group had started its direct contacts with Western countries and international companies specialized in automobile industry to discuss with them the possibilities of cooperation, pointing out that studies are underway to set up a plant to produce cars and engines in the kingdom.
